A little update on the Milq amp.After sorting some of the problems with the amps transformers (see posts above ) .I now have two mono blocks operational that have about 700 hours ,I'm so glad hour meters were installed .Filament voltage is spot on 6...

The coupling capacitor is a first order high pass filter. I have .68 in there for there for this purpose. Obviously the slope will be shallow, so precision in the value will not be critical....

ahh yes, tapped horn is what you would call "close bottom." It has to be designed around frequency response (which is very narrow band). It isn't a problem getting one to go low enough though, and the quality of sub bass produced, smooth yet dy...
